How presets work
A shipping preset is a named cost that you can apply to an order. Your preset should represent your total shipping cost — this includes postage, the envelope, top loaders, penny sleeves, team bags, and any other materials you use to ship. When you create or edit an order, you select a preset from a dropdown instead of entering a dollar amount manually.Common preset examples
Here are some presets that sellers typically set up:Bubble mailers and tracked packages: When you ship as a tracked package (bubble mailer, USPS Ground Advantage, etc.), the carrier shipping cost varies by weight and destination. For these orders, create a preset just for the bubble mailer materials, then add the actual carrier shipping cost as a linked expense on the order. This keeps your packaging costs and carrier costs separate for cleaner tracking.
